Come and learn how to teach your child with The Montessori Method at home.

You can do the Montessori Method at home and it is easier than you think!

The Montessori Method is a child-centered approach to education that focuses on a child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development at each stage of his or her life.

With the resource I created, you should be able to adapt many of the Montessori ideas into your own household with relative ease.

And the best part is that you may teach as much or as little of the approach as you choose, starting with nature walks, visual math abilities, or even manners if that is what your child prefers.

When most people think of Montessori education, they might imagine large classrooms filled with children of different ages working on individual projects.

While this is one aspect of the Montessori Method, it is not the only one.

In fact, the Montessori Method can be adapted to be used in any setting, from a home-based preschool to a homeschooling program.

Come and learn how to teach your child with The Montessori Method at home.

Montessori at Home

One of the great things about the Montessori Method is that it is so adaptable, especially at home.

You, as The Montessori parent, can teach as much or as little of the approach as you choose.

Let your parenting style give you some creative ideas.

You can start with nature walks, visual math abilities, or even manners if that is what your child prefers.

Set up a child-sized table and chairs and encourage your child to learn with hands-on materials.

And the best part is that you can tailor the lessons to your child’s interests and abilities.

If you are considering using the Montessori Method in your home, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1 Learn about the Three Period Lesson.

This is the basic structure of a Montessori lesson. It is a way of teaching that breaks down each subject into three manageable parts: introduction, presentation, and practice.

Montessori materials are designed to help children learn about their world in a hands-on way. Try to use everyday items whenever possible to reinforce learning concepts.

Be patient. It may take a while for your child to become accustomed to the new way of learning. Be prepared to be flexible to be repetitive when necessary.

2 Use Montessori 3-Part Cards.

Maria Montessori was a very intelligent woman. She was quite impressive.

Dr. Montessori thought things through by doing thorough observations of children.

When she came up with the concept of 3-Part Cards, she knew she was up to something great.

And this amazing addition to The Montessori philosophy is a must-have!

These cards are a great way to introduce new concepts and vocabulary to your child.

Help your child become as independent as possible by providing him with the appropriate materials for hands-on activities and vocabulary as well as setting expectations that allow for exploration and creativity.

The digital book below shows you how to use 3-part cards.

It also includes a set of printable 3-part cards so you can begin applying the Montessori principles with away!

3 Keep Montessori 3-Part Cards organized.

This may seem like a daunting task, but it is important to keep materials organized and accessible to your child. This will help him explore and learn at his own pace.

There is a lot more room and shelf space at a Montessori school than a home Montessori environment.

That is ok! We are here to discuss way to make it work and for children to grow a love of learning that fits your particular situation.

The important things is that older children and young children can easily access them on the shelf.

These 3-part card organizers are the perfect way to keep them organized, to keep them from getting mixed up and lost in your Montessori classroom.

It has been a life-saver in our home environment! It is included in the digital book mentioned above.

4 There are many easy Montessori lesson ideas for every subject.

From learning about the solar system to identifying different types of plant life, there is something for everyone. You can even find printable lesson plans online.

If your child loves animals, there are many Montessori-inspired activities you can do using animals as the theme.

The key is to be creative and let your child lead the way whenever possible.

The Montessori Method is not a “quick fix” approach to education.

It takes time and patience for both you and your child to adapt to the new way of learning.

But with a little effort, you will be amazed at how much your child can learn using the Montessori Method.

Let your child lead the way. The Montessori Method is all about letting the child control his or her own learning and development.

Be prepared to be flexible and patient as your child slowly adapts to this new way of learning.
