Montessori is intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be

Not having enough Montessori knowledge can contribute to you feeling intimidated.

This can be easily fixed by doing some research on the internet, in books, or taking a class.

It is important to remember that you don’t have to do everything perfectly.

There is no one right way to do Montessori. Do what works for you and your family.

Here are three things that people are often intimidated by when doing Montessori at home:

1) The materials can be expensive

2) There is a lot of preparation involved

3) It can be time-consuming

Montessori at home can be a wonderful experience

Having Montessori limiting beliefs can keep you overwhelmed, but breaking through it can change everything.

The good news is that there are ways to overcome these challenges.

Let’s take a look at each one:

1) The materials can be expensive:

You don’t need to buy all the bells and whistles to do Montessori at home. There are plenty of low-cost materials that you can find online or in your local store. For example, you can use simple wooden toys, household items like bowls and cups, or even recycled items to create DIY Montessori activities.

2) There is a lot of preparation involved:

The key to minimizing the amount of prep work is to plan ahead. You can set aside some time each week to look for ideas on Pinterest and make a list of all the materials you need for the next week’s activities.

3) It can be time-consuming:

The good news is that there are many ways to save time when doing Montessori at home. For example, you can organize drop-off and pick-up times with other Montessori families in your area. Or you can create a schedule so that you can batch prep activities.

Doing Montessori at home doesn’t have to be difficult.

With a little planning and creativity, you can easily overcome any challenges that you may face.

Doing Montessori right is easier than you think

Firstly, having a lack of Montessori resources can be fixed with the right guidance.

Secondly, with the wealth of information available online, it has never been easier to learn about Montessori and implement it at home.

Thirdly, whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, there are always new things to learn about doing Montessori right.

Fourthly, to get started, consider joining a local parent-led Montessori group or signing up for online courses and webinars.

Finally, with all the resources that are out there, you’ll be well on your way to doing Montessori right in no time!
