Foreign Languages for Kids
It is extremely important to teach foreign languages to children.
But it is also important to point out that if children are learning with the Montessori philosophy, then they can also learn foreign languages using this method.
There are three simple activities that you can use to teach foreign languages to kids in a Montessori setting:
1. Read aloud books in the foreign language.
2. Play foreign language learning games.
3. Use foreign language learning materials.

It’s also a great way to introduce kids to different cultures and customs.
One of the best ways to expose kids to a foreign language is to read aloud books in that language.
This method is especially effective if you don’t speak the foreign language yourself.
By reading aloud, you’re providing a model for correct pronunciation and intonation, and kids will be able to pick up new words and phrases just by

First, let’s start with some basic vocabulary.
Make a list of common objects around the house or classroom, and then find out how to say them in different languages.
For example, in Spanish, the word for “book” is “libro.”
Write the words down in both languages, and then put them somewhere where your child can see them.
As they become more familiar with the words, they can start to match them up.
Next, try some simple songs and rhymes in different languages.
