What is your level in knowledge in the Montessori philosophy? I don’t know much, but I know it’s a philosophy I want to pursue. I know a little bit about it, but I don’t know where to start. I am learning a lot about it, but I feel lost half the time. I am very knowledgeable in it, but still need some guidance to do it right. None 2. How knowledgeable are you about Montessori’s Sensitive Periods? I don’t know what you are talking about. I have heard of them, but I don’t know how to use them to do Montessori right. I have knowledge of them, but I am not sure how to apply them correctly for each child. They are what I use as a compass, but need some pointers to make it easier for me. None 3. Do you know the steps to doing a Montessori lesson presentation with a child? No. I know there's a specific way to use The Montessori Materials, but didn't know about lesson presentations. I know there is a specific way, but I don’t know how to do it correctly. I know the main steps, but I am not sure about presenting all of the lessons. I know how to present the lessons, but I would like to have refreshers and tips to stay updated. None 4. Do you know what the 3-Period Lesson is? No. I have no idea what that is. I know it is a specific Montessori lesson, but I don’t know how to do it or why. I know the main steps, but I am not sure about doing it right for all children and their specific needs. I know Montessori uses specific wooden materials, but that’s about it. I’m aware of the Montessori materials, but I don’t know what they are used for and why. I know that I need an area for Montessori, but I don’t know how much. Having a Montessori environment is important, but I have no idea what I need to set it up. I have set up some shelves, but I don’t know what works to put in them. I have a Montessori environment set up, but I still feel something is off and need fresh eyes and advice. None 7. When it comes to becoming a centered, organized Montessori Guide, what is your biggest challenge? I want to be centered and organized, but I’m not. I don’t know where to start. I do them successfully, but I still need to find out how to get creative to keep children engaged. None 11. I know that it is an exclusive Montessori subject, but that’s about it. I am aware that it is very important, but I don’t know why or how to do them. I have set some up, but I don’t know how to teach most Sensorial lessons. I set some up regularly, but I need to learn more or stay updated on this subject. None 13. Do you know what the 9 categories in the Montessori Sensorial subject are? I have no idea. I know there are several, but I don't know the names at all. I know that there are nine, but I only know a few of them. I know that there are nine, but I have a hard time knowing how to implement all of them regularly. None 14. Why is moving from concrete to abstract important in Montessori Math? I have no idea. I understand the idea, but I don't know how that concept works. I am trying hard to make it work, but I need help with this. I am moving forward, but I am not there yet. None 15. Why is it important to focus on pre-writing in Montessori Language Arts? Honestly, I don’t know. I am aware, but I have no idea where to start. I have started with this, but I have no idea if I am doing it right. I am focusing on it, but I am still feeling like something is off. None 16. How do you include Montessori Science works into your environment? I wait for the child to be interested and then put Science works out I put materials out for children and let them discover lessons on their own. I put works out and do some lesson presentations. I observe the children to know what works to put out and then do lesson presentations. None 17. What two main subjects are officially included in Montessori Culture? Maps and Weather Maps and Foreign Languages Geography and Laws History and Geography None 18. When it comes to creating smooth, successful Montessori days, what is your biggest challenge? I just don’t even know where to start on this journey. I am not sure what smooth, successful Montessori days entail, so I am not sure what to implement. I definitely want them, but I am still not able to create them on my own. I have tried many things, but something is still off and need extra guidance on the next steps.
